Situated in small hamlet, a short drive from a good sized market town with all amenities, this farmhouse can be lived in immediately, but with some re-furbishment required and a small house with attached barn that can be renovated there is plenty to keep you active - but not necessarily tomorrow! Over the pretty front garden, we come into a tiled hallway, with, to the left a good sized sitting room (about 18m²), tiled, with a big double glazed front window and exposed beams, there is a usable chimney but this is currently closed (easily re-opened). To the right of the hallway is a kitchen, fully fitted with oak cupboards, though the owners will be taking the oven and the freezer, these can be replaced easily enough. Beyond the kitchen is a bathroom with half size bath, and new tiling, a laundry / pantry is after this on the way out to the garden. Back to the hallway, and at the end, on the right is a small bedroom / bureau (about 12m²), with window out to the garden and to the left is a large pantry. Up the lino covered, oak stair, we come to a very large landing, with a small attic to the right and a large attic which could easily become another bedroom of about 18m², to the left. At the front of the house there are two bedrooms each of which have very pretty views, and a large linen cupboard which could easily be made into another shower room. Out of the house we come into a large garden – very much a small holding as, other than the terrace immediately outside the back door, we have wall to wall (fence to fence?) veg, fruit, chickens, rabbits…… The terrace is a real suntrap and has a lovely aspect, looking out over the lower part of the hamlet. At the bottom of the garden we have the poultry and a garage, more importantly we also have a one roomed house with old oak fireplace – this could easily be converted into two bedroom house, more importantly the attached barn could be accessed to make something very worthwhile – a project that could easily be separated from the main property if required. Plenty of scope, lovely position, super garden and although this is easy to use immediately, there’s plenty you can do over the ensuing years.

Cette maison est située à quelques minutes en voiture d’une ville où vous trouvez tout ce dont vous avez besoin, on peut vivre directement dans cette fermette, mais elle mérite aussi d’un rafraîchissement et la petite maison attenante à la grange peut-être rénovée mais ce n’est pas le plus urgent. Il y a un peu de jardin devant la maison, et avec un chemin gravillonné que l’on emprunte avant de rentrer dans la demeure. Nous découvrons à notre gauche un salon de 18m2 environ avec un double vitrage et des poutres apparentes, il y a aussi une cheminée en état de fonctionner. A droite du hall d’entrée, il y a une cuisine aménagée avec des placards en chêne. Après la cuisine, on trouve la salle de bain avec une baignoire sabot, un évier et un bidet, ensuite il y a une pièce servant de buanderie en allant au jardin. Il y a aussi une chambre ou bureau de 12m2 environ avec fenêtre donnant sur le jardin. Pour accéder à l’étage, nous empruntons un escalier en chêne, nous arrivons sur le palier avec un petit grenier à droite et un grenier beaucoup plus grand et plus large à gauche et qui peut se transformer en 1 chambre de 18m2 environ. Devant la maison, il y a 2 grandes chambres chacune avec une belle vue. A l’extérieur, nous découvrons un grand potager, une terrasse. Au fond du jardin, il y a un poulailler et un garage, ceci peut-être transformé en maison d’ami car il y a une cheminée et le plus important c’est attenant à la grange. Pas mal de terrain, du rafraîchissement à prévoir, belle position, un potager à entretenir et habitable de suite.
